Photography

Katrina Stamatopoulos is dedicated to challenging the meaning of representation in images. She predominantly works with designers and makers to represent their ideas and process, and is interested in how photography can communicate intentions and presence of an object’s materiality.

Katrina’s approach is oscillates between abstraction and documentation. Working with analogue process, she specialises in photographing on film (small, medium and large formats), darkroom printing and hand colouring, and works with a variety of digital scanners to capture surface details.
