Katrina Stamatopoulos is an artist and photographer dedicated to challenging the meaning of representation in image consuming and image documentation. She predominantly works with designers and makers to best represent their ideas and process, and is interested in how an image can communicate the intention and presence of an object’s materiality. 

Katrina’s approach is driven by process, craft, and a commitment to image making that oscillates between abstraction and documentation. Working with analogue process, she specialises in photographing on film (small, medium and large formats), darkroom printing and hand colouring, and works with a variety of digital scanners to capture surface details.
