HiRes Scanning & Archiving

We specialise in photographic scanning and digitising photographic film, prints and 2-3 dimensional mixed-media artwork. Working on a project to project basis, we work on producing content for archives, artist books, exhibitions and legacy preservation projects.

Offering both technical and archival expertise in preparing work and managing workflow for image production and maintenance, we are also experienced in helping care for, organise, and expand collections. Something we feel deeply important for the long-term significance of creative practice.

Our machine set up includes a Hasselblad Imacon Flextight scanner, an Epson 10000XL A3 flatbed scanner and a digital capture photography set up. We also work with a trusted network of photographic labs to bring the best possible results to our workflow.

SCANNER STUDIO RENTAL

You are welcome to come and work independently with us in our studio.

The scanning studio includes the option of working with either or both the Epson and Hasselblad Imacon Flextight scanner, and a 10 minute tutorial upon arrival. The scanning studio space is comfortable, quiet and ideal for those wanting to work on projects where you are looking to focus on finding your own workflow. Refreshments are always on the go for guests and we are available to provide technical or critical feedback if desired.

The film carriers we have for our Hasselblad Imacon, include 35mm, 645, 6x6, 6x7, 6x9 and 4x5, along with an A4 reflective holder. The studio is equipped with a callibrated Eizo ColourEdge monitor, Adobe Creative suite, Lightbox, and Wacom tablet.
